- I have a buck, marbles, rapid river and of them all, the rapid river is best to me.
- You’ll be happy with Rapid River Knife Works. The skinner model works quite well.
- I would suggest you check out the knives from Rapid River Knifeworks. They are in the UP, most of the guys worked for Marble's back when they made knives, not they bring them in from China. I have a couple of RRK knives, and am very happy with them. Check out thier web store at http://www.rapidriverknifeworks.com/
- Yup, skip Marbles and go for a Rapid River! I've got two that haven't let me down.....unlike a few Gerber's and Marble's.
- I've purchase a couple dozen fixed blades from Rapid River over the years. Overall I've had a good experience with their knives.
- I don't personally have one, but I bought my dad a Royal 7 clip point from Rapid River. He really likes both how it fits in his hand & the edge it holds while skinning & butchering. I've tried & failed to steal it from him twice.
- Main knife is good old Buck 110. A little to big but works fine. I picked up a Rapid River Knife Works Skinner model this year, very nice knife, sadley the deer didnt cooperate so i used it on roasts and steaks, works great. :p
- I’ll second rapid river knife company. Fine fine knives with many choices.
- A friend of many gave me a custom rapid river knife. Great knife- that hard steel holds an edge well. I almost feel bad hunting with it- pretty knife.
- I'm not saying they will make you a custom knife for displaying your ivory teeth but Rapid River Knife Works does some really nice semi and custom work. They are located in the UP along US 2.
- Great looking site! I registered and will hopefully be the proud new owner of a Rapid River Knifeworks Knife :D
- Yeah well after talking to some former Marbles guys who now own their own business....my Marbles was GARBAGE! took em back and bought another Rapid River! Those Guys at RR do good!
- I've owned two Rapid River Knives and both were outstanding. Unfortunately I tend to do some trading to try other stuff and have traded them both off. The gang at Rapid River are stand-up guys too.
- These are great knives. I went for years preaching about how the Buck 110 was all the knife a MI hunter ever needed. Since i bought my Wolverine (Rapid River), my Buck rides backup in my pack. Worth checking out. FYI - In addition to the list by Whit, Jays also sells them (when they can keep them in stock).
- If you have never visited Rapid River Knifeworks (just east of Escanaba on US-2) while on your U.P. travels you should really plan to do so some day.
- This is a great UP company making a great product. Check them out.
- Just spent a week in the UP of Mi and ran across this shop. Their work appeared to be top notch and their store front was busy.
